Forundersøgelse
You have an idea for a chip – or at least the beginning of one. Maybe it has been sitting in a drawer for a while, waiting for the right moment or the right nudge. A feasibility study with the Danish Chips Competence Centre can be that nudge.
We help companies find out whether their chip idea is technically possible, what it would realistically cost in time and money, and what the path forward looks like – in Denmark, and across Europe if needed. We fill the gaps in knowledge and experience that stand between an idea and a decision.
What We Do
No two feasibility studies are the same. Depending on your starting point and your goals, we can:
- Assess technical possibilities and constraints, including design architecture, materials, and fabrication processes
- Evaluate the cost and time investment of moving to a custom chip solution
- Help you navigate the Danish and European ecosystem – fabrication partners, funding options, and the next concrete steps for your project
How It Works
The process is collaborative from start to finish. You bring the idea; we bring the experience and knowledge to stress-test it. Typically, the process looks something like this:
- Kick-off. We align on objectives, key questions, and success criteria in a concise kick-off document. What would a successful feasibility study look like to your company?
- Assessment. Our experts investigate relevant design options, fabrication routes, and costs – depending on your company's goals. We identify what is feasible, what the constraints are, and where the risks lie. The process is highly collaborative between, and we have regular meetings to check in and assure that we are on the same page as the project progresses.
- Joint Review. We present our findings in a Feasibility Report. Our job is to give you an honest picture, not to sell you a predetermined solution.
- Next Steps (Optional). Where relevant, the final report includes a roadmap for prototyping or a recommended path to implementation.
A Note on Case Studies
Completed feasibility studies are published as case studies – written collaboratively with you, and with full respect for commercial confidentiality. This is part of how DkCCC builds shared knowledge across the Danish chip ecosystem.
